Having been born and raised on a dairy and horse farm; I knew equines would be part of my life forever. From pictures of myself on a horse, as a toddler, to my high school dreams of raising ponies, I knew the "disease" was an incurable one. I, originally, had desires to raise "pet" ponies for children to enjoy. However, that thought quickly gave way to purchasing quality ASPC show stock, that now, have made their mark in the show ring. My husband, Steve of 35 years, and myself ventured to Iowa to purchase what would become our main shetland pony stallion on the farm "J JS Painted Cody's Lee Land". He is producing ASPC/AMHR ponies that are sold all over the nation. Not wanting to give up the other two breeds that I was highly fond of.... APHA and stock type paint ponies; we decided to raise foals in that group also. The horse industry has been good to us. Allowing us to have friends in many corners of the country. When Steve and I are not enjoying our grandchildren; what consumes our free time? Harleys and Horses! |
